Clinical Systems Configuration Manager
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Digital Services Department for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual for the post of Systems Clinical Systems Configuration Manager to join our Digital Directorate at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.
You will lead and support a team responsible for the configuration and management of our core Electronic Patient Record (EPR) applications, including Rio, EMIS Community, NerveCentre, and CITO. Acting as deputy to the EPR Systems Manager, you will provide technical leadership, oversee system access and security, and ensure compliance with national policies and NHS Smartcard integrity. You will play a key role in digital projects, business as usual service delivery, and the ongoing administration of our clinical systems.
Main duties of the job
o Lead and manage the Clinical Systems Team, providing guidance and technical expertise throughout the change processo Oversee configuration, documentation, and compliance for core EPR applicationso Ensure secure and efficient management of system access and user registrationo Act as an escalation point for complex system issues and support digital project deliveryo Collaborate with cross functional teams and external suppliers to deliver safe, effective system changeso Maintain high standards of data security, audit, and information governance

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in IT related subject or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuous professional and personal development
Knowledge
- Demonstrable understanding of leadership principles
- Excellent understanding of system configuration, design, build development & test
- Excellent knowledge of Registration Authority principles such as RBAC and PBAC
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical systems configuration and management.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership position.
- Proven experience of working within an NHS Digital function/role
Skills
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software especially Excel, Word & Teams
- Highly adaptable and able to work in an agile manner
