Deputy Director of IM&T

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen as for a Director of Digital who will be part of the leadership team leading the Trust's Digital portfolio and team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work with the Deputy Chief Digital, Infrastructure & Improvement Officer and Senior Colleagues within the Digital Directorate in identifying and harnessing the opportunity presented by technology to deliver the Trust's wider strategic objectives, which includes service innovation and transformation together with improved efficiency and productivity. This part of the role will require the post holder to represent the Trust's and its interests in cross Lancashire Digital collaboration.

Person Specification

Education

Essential
  • Educated to Masters' level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent

Knowledge

Essential
  • Extensive and deep knowledge of the clinical and Network service area
  • Broad knowledge of NHS modernisation agenda and a good understanding of the political climate in which the NHS and other public sector organisations operate

Experience

Essential
  • Specialist knowledge across the multiple disciplines that underpin Digital, Digital Health & IT
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
  • Demonstrated experience of leading programmes in politically charged, complex and challenging environments across multi agencies.
  • Experience of managing risks, reporting, preparing briefing papers and correspondence at board level
  • Experience of managing high value budgets and business planning processes.
