FP and A Manager

We are a tech-enabled consultancy known for our market leading advice in pensions, investment and insurance, and we strive to help create a financially better future for our society. Our love of data, technology and posing solutions to the difficult questions of today, has taken us into newer areas. We now have a reputation for excellence in energy transition, health analytics and sport analytics.

This is a newly created role reflecting the increased scale and complexity of LCP’s business. The FP&A Analyst will be a key role within the finance team, supporting the firm’s planning, forecasting, and analytical capability. You will work closely with the Head of FP&A and divisional finance colleagues, producing the insight and rigour that enables confident decision-making across the Group.

It requires someone equally comfortable building robust financial models and presenting findings clearly to finance and business stakeholders, as well as supporting automation and systems improvement to free up the function for higher-value work.

What will you be doing?

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Supporting LCP’s annual budgeting and medium-term planning process, working closely with the Head of FP&A and divisional finance contacts
  • Maintaining the rolling forecast cycle, including the Group-level P&L, revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow models as well as key partnership metrics
  • Building and maintaining financial models covering revenue by division, headcount costs, and investment scenarios
  • Preparing forward-looking scenario analysis to support strategic decisions, including sensitivity analysis and stress testing

Business Partnering

  • Supporting finance business partnering across LCP’s divisions — Actuarial, Investment, Health, Energy, and Insurance
  • Translating financial data into clear commercial narratives that drive action, not just reporting
  • Building strong working relationships across the firm, helping to establish the FP&A team as a proactive commercial partner rather than a back-office function
  • Supporting the preparation of high-quality materials for senior forums, including ExCo and Board reporting, that communicate performance and outlook with clarity

Commercial & Deal Support

  • Supporting with financial analysis and modelling for strategic commercial initiatives, including M&A activity, PE related processes, new market entry, and partnership structures
  • Assisting the Head of FP&A and senior leadership on financial due diligence and return on investment analysis

Systems, Automation & Reporting Infrastructure

  • Supporting the development of LCP’s FP&A systems and tools, identifying and implementing improvements to drive efficiency and data quality
  • Helping automate routine financial reporting processes, reducing manual effort and improving the speed and reliability of management information
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the Group management reporting suite, including ExCo and Board packs
  • Making active use of modern FP&A technology (planning tools, BI platforms, AI-assisted analysis) to raise the standard of analysis

What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for?

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience in an FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting, or transaction services environment, ideally within professional services or a partnership structure
  • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel, with the ability to build, check, and explain models to non-finance audiences
  • Confident working with stakeholders across finance and the business, building trusted relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • An appetite for process improvement and automation within a finance function
  • Highly numerate, analytical, and structured in approach, with strong attention to detail balanced by the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including preparing clear written analysis and presentation materials

Desirable

  • Exposure to an LLP or partnership structure, or an interest in partner economics and member-level reporting
  • Exposure to multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction consolidation
  • Hands-on experience using FP&A tools, or BI and data tools such as Power BI or SQL
  • Interest in actuarial, consulting, or analytics-led businesses
