  • Build and support infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, COTS, open-source tools, and virtual and cloud environments including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
  • Proactively automate manual or repetitive infrastructure tasks to reduce time spent on standard practices
  • Maintain infrastructure components securely, including identity and access management, patching and disaster recovery, while promoting good practice and compliance
  • Maintain processes and controls that support high availability and responsive service for stakeholders across physical and cloud-based workloads
  • Maintain and develop awareness of information security, and the controls used to mitigate threats within solutions and services
  • Apply modern infrastructure standards and practices
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, where required, to support the ongoing health and availability of hosted or outsourced services
  • Work with the Security Operations Centre (SOC), as required, on threat detection and response activity in conjunction with Information Security and in line with established LCP incident response processes
  • Take ownership of incidents and problems until they are resolved, mitigated, or formally handed over where appropriate
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying issues
  • Troubleshoot across a range of infrastructure technologies
  • Collaborate with colleagues within and beyond the team as needed
  • Act as a second-line escalation point for infrastructure issues raised through self-service or via the Service Desk

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Experience of managing infrastructure within a DevOps organisation, including Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation, and enterprise monitoring and reporting tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Zabbix and Azure Monitor
  • Experience of Linux Server

  • Ability to take ownership of infrastructure issues and coordinate resolution, working cross-functionally to ensure solutions continue to meet business needs
  • Ability to break problems down into their component parts, diagnose root causes, and troubleshoot across different technology areas
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate several workstreams at once while balancing priorities and quality
  • Ability to balance changing and sometimes competing demands through sound judgement, prioritisation and pragmatism
