IT Software Applciations Manager

IT Software Applications Manager required to work near to Thatcham.

Please note: This is a Monday to Friday Office based role. As my client is quite rural you will need your own transport to be considered. You will need to undergo an enhanced DBS if successful and my client will not sponsor you so, please only apply if you have full UK working rights.

Job purpose: To manage the IT Software Applications of my client and ensure a robust, reliable and secure service is developed and maintained. To provide data management support, change and improvement of identified applications and services as required. To manage and improve the service management framework for identified applications and associated software vendors. To facilitate rapid resolution of application incidents.

Key Performance Measures:

• Software Delivery - Delivery of projects and application updates from identified application vendors in line with agreed delivery and release requirements.
• Applications Service - Delivery of the applications services, without significant failure or poor service performance.
• Project Communication - Communication of project delivery progress, to ensure my client is aware of status and any related issues.

Skills required:

• Experience - Typically at least 5 years of Software Application Support Management experience and 2 years project management experience, in roles that require involvement and understanding of application delivery and process mapping. Aware of industry and professional standards. Familiar with integrated application environments, including Information Systems, CRM and Virtual Learning Environments using cloud services.
• Skills – Proven experience with specified programming languages (e.g. .Net, SQL, C#), and integration techniques (e.g. API, service bus). Familiar with methodologies and project tools such as PRINCE2 and Microsoft Project. Familiar with application development tools (e.g. Visual Studio). Familiar with methods and techniques for structured reviews.
