Systems Technician

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Systems Technician to join a leading engineering company based in Southampton.

Introduction

The primary role of the Systems Technician will be to repair, fault find and test of the sites products, basic software programming

Responsibilities

• Diagnose to board level, repair, commission and test hardware systems
• Set up static IP addresses on local networks
• Creating step by step test documentation
• Identify and implement process improvements
• When required remote support to field engineers and customers across the UK and Europe

There will be extensive training for this role, including across the hardware and software systems.

Ideal Experience:

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience of test, diagnosis, fault finding and repair with and understanding of configuring local network addresses, setting IP addresses and basic software programming.

Also experience of creating step by step test documentation, setting up IP addresses on local networks, and implementing process improvements would be preferred.

Any military or aerospace experience would be an advantage for this role, although not essential.

Salary/Hours/Benefits

• £38,000 - £40,000
