Endevor Administrator - Banking Sector - Manchester

Location: Manchester (2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 6 months+
Rate: £350 per day Inside IR35

Overview:
A prominent organisation within the banking sector requires an experienced Endevor Administrator to support and enhance their Mainframe source code management systems. This position will be integral in maintaining Endevor environments, supporting development teams, and ensuring robust deployment and release processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain CA Endevor environments across multiple LPARs.

• Manage version control and change management processes for Mainframe applications.

• Configure and maintain processor groups, element types, and Endevor exits.

• Perform installations, upgrades, and Endevor software configuration.

• Automate deployment, shipment, and archiving processes.

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and user training.

• Monitor performance, capacity, and backup procedures.

• Collaborate with release management for production deployments.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and industry standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years' experience in Endevor administration or Mainframe support.

• Strong proficiency in JCL, TSO/ISPF, REXX, and CLIST.

• Knowledge of ACF2 or RACF security administration.

• Experience with Tivoli Storage Manager or similar backup tools.

• Familiarity with Cobol and JCL.

• Excellent problem-solving, automation, and communication skills.
