Programme Manager (ERP Delivery)

Overview

Our client is a specialist trade retailer in the ironmongery sector, headquartered in the Netherlands. They are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to conduct an independent review of an active ERP delivery programme.

This role is not focused on ERP product expertise — instead, it is centred on evaluating the health, governance, and delivery approach of the programme itself. We are looking for a seasoned programme manager who has previously delivered complex ERP programmes end‐to‐end and can provide a clear, objective view on delivery disciplines, risks, and overall readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a structured assurance review of the ERP programme, including delivery approach, programme governance, risks, resources and stakeholder management.
  • Conduct interviews with internal project stakeholders, senior leadership, and the external third‐party delivery partner.
  • Assess whether the correct delivery disciplines, controls and reporting are in place for a successful programme outcome.
  • Evaluate programme structure, scope clarity, RAID processes, change control, and interdependency management.
  • Review stakeholder engagement, communication effectiveness, and decision‐making processes.
  • Produce a concise and actionable set of findings and recommendations, highlighting risks, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present an objective, independent view of programme health to the client’s senior leadership team.

Experience Required

  • Proven track record of programme managing ERP implementations.
  • Experience of assessing in-flight ERP Programme activity and defining areas for improvement or existing issues that require resolution.
  • Deep understanding of best‐practice delivery frameworks across PMO, governance, RAID, risk management, resource planning, milestones and executive reporting.
  • Experience working with third‐party delivery partners, assessing performance, capability and alignment.
  • Excellent interview and workshop‐facilitation skills — able to engage confidently at all levels, including C‐suite.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose issues, cut through complexity and produce clear recommendations.
  • Dutch language skills strongly preferred due to stakeholder environment.

Engagement Details

  • Start date: 20 April
  • Onsite: Netherlands for 2–3 days, then remote
  • Duration: 10–12 working days total
