Product Owner

Product Owner

Hybrid (Manchester – 2 days per week) | £55,000

We are looking for a Product Owner to sit at the centre of our product, marketing and compliance functions.

This role ensures alignment, structure and execution across departments. You will be responsible for maintaining operational cadence, prioritising business-critical initiatives and ensuring delivery across multiple moving parts in a regulated performance marketing environment.

You will act as the operational bridge between Product, Marketing, Compliance, Sales and Leadership.

Core Responsibilities

1. Product Ownership

  • Take full ownership of two products end-to-end, from proposition definition through to market readiness
  • Define and drive the go-to-market strategy for each product, including positioning, pricing, and route to market
  • Identify commercial opportunities and translate them into clear product and growth priorities

2. Commercial Growth & Revenue

  • Own the commercial performance of both products, with clear accountability for revenue targets
  • Build and execute strategies to acquire, grow, and retain customers and partners
  • Identify new revenue streams, partnerships, and market opportunities across both products
  • Track and report on commercial KPIs, using data to drive decisions and iterate quickly

3. Data & Technical Literacy

  • Confidently interrogate data to understand product performance, customer behaviour, and commercial trends
  • Work directly with data and reporting tools to pull insights without relying on others to do it for you
  • Understand how tracking, integrations, and data pipelines work at a functional level — enough to spot problems, ask the right questions, and hold technical teams accountable
  • Translate complex data into clear commercial narratives for leadership and stakeholders
  • Use data proactively to identify where growth is happening, where it isn't, and what to do about it

5. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the central point of accountability across all functions touching these two products
  • Align marketing, sales, data, and compliance teams around product priorities and commercial goals
  • Chair key working sessions and ensure decisions are made, actioned, and tracked
  • Report directly to leadership with clear, data-driven updates on progress and performance

6. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure both products operate within regulatory requirements at all times
  • Embed compliance into go-to-market planning from the outset, not as an afterthought
  • Coordinate sign-off processes and maintain documentation standards across both products

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

  • 3–5+ years in a commercial product or growth role, with direct ownership of revenue and go-to-market strategy
  • Proven track record of taking a product to market and delivering measurable results
  • Background in performance marketing, lead generation, or a digitally-led business
  • Experience commercialising customer-facing products — positioning, pricing, and growing them in a competitive market
  • Able to identify and convert commercial opportunities through partnerships, new channels, or market expansion
  • Confident working across marketing, sales, product, and technical teams without needing direct authority
  • Comfortable interrogating data and reporting independently, without relying on others to interpret it
  • Experience presenting commercial performance clearly to senior leadership

Highly Desirable

  • Experience operating within a regulated environment (FCA, financial services, legal or similar)
  • Experience supporting compliance workflows and sign-off processes
  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing models and performance-based partnerships
  • Exposure to data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Understanding of marketing tracking infrastructure (pixels, UTMs, attribution, form integrations)

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, Operations or a related field (desirable but not essential)
  • Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, Lean) – advantageous but not required
