Learning Cog - People, Performance & Learning Technology

About Learning Cog

At Learning Cog, we believe organisational growth starts with people and is accelerated by the right technology.

We are a specialist People and Organisational Development partner focused on leadership, management, sales capability, coaching, and organisational performance. Rather than delivering off-the-shelf training, we integrate closely with our clients to understand their challenges and design bespoke development solutions that align individual potential with business strategy.

We work with organisations across the UK and internationally, supporting businesses to develop stronger leaders, higher-performing teams, and cultures that enable sustainable growth.

Alongside our professional development programmes, our learning technology team is building innovative digital solutions that extend learning beyond the classroom, helping organisations embed behaviour change, track development, and sustain performance improvement long after training ends.

The Role

We are looking for a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Executive to help grow our client partnerships and expand our impact.

You will work consultatively with organisations to understand their people and performance challenges, introducing solutions that combine development expertise with learning technology to support long-term organisational success.

You will play a key role in generating new opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships, helping organisations develop their people, improve performance, and achieve meaningful growth.

This is a hybrid role based around our Falmer (Brighton & Hove) office, with flexible remote working.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities through proactive lead generation and relationship building
  • Engaging senior stakeholders to understand organisational goals and development needs
  • Presenting tailored learning and technology solutions aligned to client challenges
  • Building trusted, long-term client relationships and managing key accounts
  • Preparing proposals and contributing to solution design alongside internal teams
  • Collaborating with marketing, learning design, and technology teams to support growth strategies
  • Monitoring market trends and sharing client insights to shape future offerings
  • Supporting the continued expansion of our learning technology solutions within client organisations

Who You Are

You are commercially minded but people-focused, someone who enjoys building relationships and helping organisations solve real challenges through development and innovation.

You will likely bring:

  • Experience in business development, sales, or account management (training, consultancy, SaaS, or technology sectors preferred)
  • Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a client-first mindset
  • Curiosity about organisational development, learning, and performance improvement
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to generating opportunities
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment

Experience in learning & development, consultancy, or software/solution sales would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.

Why Join Learning Cog?

  • Be part of a growing organisation combining people development and technology innovation
