Associate Product Owner
Job summary
The purpose of this role is to prioritise the development and improvements of the Trusts System/Product. Responsible for realising the maximum value of the asset, formulating strategies, product roadmaps, managing the development backlog and defining the shared future vision and goals whilst ensuring the needs of the end users and Trust are being met and the product aligns with business goals, mission and objectives. Working collaboratively across the Trust with colleagues, internal partners, other NHS Organisations and supplier to fulfil those requirements. Ensuring project teams understand the vision and works toward achieving it, helping project members to focus on the common objective, irrespective of their role and regularly sharing progress with all stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust has an ambitious Digital programme with a key objective to improve its service to patients. This programme is underpinned by Information Technology and the delivery of a range of digital solutions. The Trusts commitment to this programme includes the implementation of a number of internally developed and externally procured Digital solutions. It is necessary to introduce new, or expand existing, Digital solutions/systems into complex clinical environments which often span multiple departmental and organisational boundaries within the Region. What you will bring to the role- Product Owner Qualification or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in the IT industry
- Has a thorough appreciation of the opportunities that new technology creates.
- Extensive knowledge of NHS IT and Modernisation initiatives.
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Preparation of organisational strategies and objectives.
- Experience of Business Process Mapping
- Experience of projects that span multiple organisations Has contributed to the development of IM&T strategy and its tactical implementation.
- Possess a good standard of written and spoken English.
- A thorough understanding of all policies and procedures governing the Trust’s approach and delivery of IT projects.
