The National Pathology Imaging Co-operative (NPIC) is transforming pathology services across the NHS through the delivery of one of the UK's largest and most innovative digital pathology programmes. As Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in leading the successful deployment of complex digital pathology solutions across NHS organisations, working at the forefront of digital transformation, innovation and AI-enabled healthcare.

This is a pivotal role requiring an experienced delivery professional who can confidently lead multiple complex projects, build trusted relationships with senior clinical, operational and technical stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery against demanding timescales, budgets and quality standards.

The role includes responsibility for delivering and coordinating a diverse portfolio of work, including:

• Clinical system integration

• Technical implementation projects

• Matrix management of multidisciplinary delivery teams

• Cloud platform implementation and migration projects

Working alongside clinicians, NHS Trusts, technology partners and internal technical specialists, you will provide leadership throughout the deployment lifecycle, from planning and governance through to implementation, benefits realisation and continuous service improvement. You will be expected to manage competing priorities, mitigate delivery risks, and ensure projects consistently deliver measurable value for patients and NHS organisations.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• A proven track record of successfully delivering complex IM&T, digital or clinical system deployments within large, multi-stakeholder organisations.

• Experience leading multiple concurrent projects, balancing competing priorities while delivering to agreed quality, budget and timescales.

• The ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders across the NHS, industry, academia and partner organisations.

• Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams within a matrix environment to achieve successful delivery outcomes.

• Strong commercial awareness, including managing suppliers and holding delivery partners accountable against contractual commitments.

• Excellent project governance skills, with experience managing risks, dependencies, budgets and delivery performance throughout the project lifecycle.

• The ability to analyse complex operational and technical challenges, providing clear recommendations and supporting the delivery of effective solutions.

• Experience leading digital transformation programmes that deliver measurable service improvements and organisational change.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at executive level.
