The role involves working at our Customer's site in Gloucestershire for up to 4 days per week, to ensure close collaboration with the wider team and with our customers. This role is focused on delivering, maintaining, and improving platform and systems engineering solutions that underpin critical defence, government and public sector services. You will need to hold UK DV clearance while in this post.

What you will do as a Scrum Master:

\n

\n
• \nLead agile teams in the delivery of projects and services using Scrum or other agile frameworks. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nFacilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nIdentify and remove blockers, enabling teams to maintain momentum and focus on value delivery. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nCoach teams and stakeholders on agile principles, roles, and practices. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nTrack and report team metrics, supporting transparency and continuous improvement. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nCollaborate with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to align delivery with business goals. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nSupport agile maturity across the organisation, contributing to agile communities of practice. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nChampion psychological safety, team empowerment, and inclusive collaboration. \n

\n\n

What you’ll bring

\n

\n
• \nProven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead in complex and high security environments across defence or government\n

\n

• \nExperience working in software development and knowledge of software and release lifecycle\n

\n\n

\n
• \nStrong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and delivery principles. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nAbility to coach teams and stakeholders in agile ways of working. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nExperience using agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or equivalent. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nExcellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nA proactive mindset focused on team success, customer value, and continuous improvement. \n

\n\n

• \nAgile Leadership: Experience leading agile teams and facilitating agile ceremonies. \n

• \nMetrics & Reporting: Experience tracking team performance and supporting improvement. \n

• \nStakeholder Engagement: Ability to work across delivery, product, and engineering teams. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nTool Proficiency: Confident using agile collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Miro). \n

\n\n

\n
• \nAgile Governance: Understanding of agile governance, risk management, and compliance. \n

\n\n

Desirable:

\n

\n
• \nExperience in hybrid or scaled agile environments (e.g. SAFe, LeSS). \n

\n\n

\n
• \nFamiliarity with DDaT delivery principles and government service standards. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nAgile certifications (e.g. PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master, ICAgile). \n

\n\n

\n
• \nExposure to DevOps practices and agile engineering environments. \n

\n\n

\n
• \nExperience working in secure or regulated environments (e.g. defence, government). \n

\n\n

\n
• \nAbility to mentor junior Scrum Masters or agile team members. \n

\n\n
