Technical Lead - Machine Learning (Financial Crime & Payments)

Levatio is expanding its AI & Financial Crime technology team and looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead to drive end-to-end machine learning model development across our next-generation Risk & Compliance product suite.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models using Python and modern AI toolkits.
• Architect and deliver ML-driven components for Sanctions Screening, AML, Transaction Monitoring, Payment Controls, and Watchlist Management .
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and SME teams to define model strategies, data pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.
• Guide the integration of ML models into cloud-native microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices .
• Ensure high model performance, compliance alignment, and explainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and architecture decisions.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python , ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), and AI development tools.
• Proven ability to build, train, evaluate, optimize, and deploy ML models in production environments.

• Deep understanding of:
• Sanctions Screening
• Payments Screening
• Transaction Monitoring
• Watchlist Management
• AML Regulatory Requirements
• Experience working with leading industry tools such as:
• Fircosoft
• LexisNexis
• Acfimize
• Other risk & compliance platforms

• Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD , automated testing and code quality frameworks.
• Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes .
• Strong experience deploying ML solutions on major cloud platforms:
• AWS , Azure , Google Cloud (GCP) .
• Experience with microservices architecture and REST APIs.

• Experience working in banking, fintech, payments , or regulatory technology environments is essential.
