Hardware Infrastructure Engineer (Server Platforms)

This role sits within the core infrastructure operations function, supporting mission-critical research and trading systems.

If you enjoy owning physical server environments end-to-end and working closely with vendors and data centre teams, this one is for you.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Ownership of physical server health, lifecycle, and readiness
  • Hardware fault investigation and coordination to resolution
  • Vendor case management, escalations, and RMAs
  • Planning and executing refresh, replacement, and firmware activities
  • Working with data centre teams on installs, cabling, and break/fix
  • Maintaining asset accuracy, lifecycle status, and documentation
  • Supporting capacity and growth planning initiatives

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years in server / hardware / data centre infrastructure roles
  • Deep understanding of enterprise server components and diagnostics
  • Practical experience with HPE OneView, iLO, and Redfish APIs
  • Linux exposure for provisioning and troubleshooting
  • NetBox or similar CMDB / asset tools
  • Ansible or infrastructure automation experience
  • Vendor management and RMA handling experience
  • Enterprise hardware platforms: HPE, Dell, Supermicro, Lenovo
  • Strong ownership mindset and documentation discipline

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in low-latency, HPC, or financial environments
  • Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaLogs)
  • Firmware lifecycle programs at scale
  • Python / Bash scripting
  • Capacity planning or refresh program exposure
