About the Role

Our client is looking for a strong IT Workplace Technology Engineer to help build and evolve a modern, secure, and scalable digital workplace. You will take ownership of device management, collaboration tooling, identity workflows, automation, and endpoint security controls, ensuring employees have a seamless and secure technology experience.

This role is hands-on and sits at the intersection of IT, Security, and Employee Experience, with strong emphasis on Intune, Jamf, Zero Trust, networking, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead administration and lifecycle management of MDM platforms (Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro) across macOS, Windows, and mobile devices.
  • Manage and enhance enterprise collaboration tools: Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence).
  • Implement and maintain endpoint security controls, including Conditional Access, Device Trust, Network Trust, DLP, CASB, and Secure Web Gateways.
  • Own and optimise the corporate Wi-Fi/network stack for office environments.
  • Build automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python, and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) workflows.
  • Integrate identity and access management processes using Okta, applying Zero Trust principles.
  • Define standards for device provisioning, compliance, patching, and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex endpoint issues and provide mentorship to IT team members.
  • Support and lead workplace IT projects, ensuring reliability, security, and strong employee experience.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in Workplace IT, Endpoint Engineering, Modern Workplace, or similar roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Intune, Jamf, Windows/macOS, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Zero Trust security models.
  • Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and configuration automation.
  • Experience managing or supporting office Wi-Fi/network infrastructure.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with IT, Security, HR, and wider business teams.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and passion for scalable, secure, user-focused technology.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
  • Exposure to IaC or automation platforms.
  • SaaS and workplace analytics tooling experience.
