Senior Python Engineer | FinTech | UK Based- Fully remote | Outside IR35

.As a Senior Python Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and scaling backend services within a modern microservices architecture. You'll collaborate with product, data, web, and mobile teams to deliver robust solutions while mentoring fellow engineers and driving engineering excellence

What You'll Be Doing

Designing, building, owning and scaling cloud-native backend services
Working across the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment
Collaborating with Product Managers and stakeholders to shape technical solutions
Building and integrating RESTful APIs
Contributing to architecture decisions and technical best practices
Mentoring engineers and supporting team growth
Ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable

What We're Looking for:

Strong commercial experience with Python as your primary language
Solid understanding of software engineering principles (SOLID, testing, clean code)
Experience with AWS cloud services
Hands-on experience with Django, FastAPI and/or Flask
Strong REST API development and integration experience
Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

Event-driven architecture and microservices experience
Message queues and asynchronous systems
Salesforce integration experience
