Key
Responsibilities
Financial
Institution & PSP Partnership Development: Identify and develop strategic partnerships with Financial
Institutions, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and regulated fintech platforms. Build strong relationships with senior
stakeholders and decision-makers at banks, payment institutions, and fintech
infrastructure providers. Develop and manage a pipeline of institutional
partnership opportunities aligned with
LianLian UK’s
commercial strategy.
Structure partnership models that allow
institutional partners to leverage LianLian’s
cross-border payment infrastructure.
Deal Origination
& Commercial Execution - Manage the full lifecycle of partnership opportunities
from origination through negotiation, contracting, and launch. Lead
commercial discussions with institutional partners, including negotiation of
pricing
models, transaction fees, and
revenue-sharing structures. Prepare commercial proposals and business cases
tailored to Financial Institution and PSP partners. Work closely with internal
teams to ensure successful onboarding and operational
launch of new partners.
Market
Intelligence & Industry Engagement - Maintain strong awareness of developments
across the payments, banking, and fintech infrastructure sectors. Monitor regulatory developments relevant
to Payment Institutions, fintech partnerships, and cross-border payment
services. Represent LianLian
UK at industry conferences, networking events, and fintech forums to build market visibility and develop new
opportunities. Leverage an established professional
network within the financial services ecosystem to accelerate deal flow.
Cross-Functional
Collaboration - Work closely with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Operations
teams to ensure partnerships are structured in line with
regulatory expectations and operational capabilities. Translate institutional partner
requirements into product and operational insights that support service development. Ensure alignment across internal teams to
support smooth onboarding and long-term partner success.
Qualifications and
Experience Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance,
Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5–8 years’
experience in business development, partnerships, or institutional sales within the fintech, payments,
or banking sectors.
Demonstrated success in sourcing,
negotiating, and closing B2B partnerships with Financial
Institutions, PSPs, or regulated fintech companies.
Experience working within regulated
financial services environments, particularly Payment Institutions (API), Electronic
Money Institutions (EMI), or banks.
Strong understanding of cross-border
payments, PSP infrastructure, and fintech platform partnerships.
Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including banks, PSPs, fintech platforms,
and cross-border payment infrastructure.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks
relevant to Payment Institutions, including PSD2, FCA
expectations, and AML considerations in institutional partnerships.
Understanding of commercial partnership
structures used in fintech infrastructure businesses.
Strong commercial negotiation skills and
ability to structure complex institutional partnerships.
Excellent relationship-building skills
with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Highly organised with strong attention to
detail and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Self-driven
and comfortable operating in a fast-growing fintech environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication
skills in English. Proficiency in another language, would be
considered an advantage
