Analytics and Insight Specialist

We are really excited about our future data vision and are looking for a unique Analytics and Insight Specialist to work closely with the Analytics and Insight Manager and be part of our dynamic Analytics and Insight team.
The Analytics and Insight Specialist will be responsible for developing the further integration of PowerBI, both the production of detailed and comprehensive reports to provide insight supporting the strategic objectives of Lincolnshire Housing Partnership and the road map to guide its wider adoption, creating a scalable solution to address our insight needs.
The Analytics and Insight Specialist role is flexible under our agile working policy; therefore, you will be able to work from wherever is suitable to complete the task at hand. This might be at home, at one of our offices located in Grimsby or Boston, or somewhere else!
What will a typical week be like as an Analytics and Insight Specialist
As an Analytics and Insight Specialist, your week will be varied, people-focused, and full of opportunities to make a real difference, a typical week could look like:
- You could transform complex data into clear, actionable insights using PowerBI, developing intuitive dashboards and visualisations to support business decision-making.
- You’ll work closely with stakeholders across LHP to understand their analytical needs, building strong relationships and influencing outcomes through data.
- You’ll design and maintain robust data models, using tools such as Power Query and DAX to integrate, cleanse and analyse data from multiple sources.
- Your analysis will underpin performance reporting, enabling operational teams to identify trends, drive improvements and implement targeted action plans.
- You’ll produce detailed service-level reports, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis to deliver meaningful business intelligence.
- You’ll also support regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring the accurate preparation and submission of returns such as RSH SDR and TSM, maintaining high standards of data quality and compliance.
- You’ll stay informed on sector best practice through research and benchmarking, using insights to support continuous improvement and target setting across LHP.

Where I’d work:
You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own diary and the flexibility to work from locations that best support you and your objectives. This could be at our main offices in Grimsby or Boston, our various community hubs, at home, local coffee shops or wherever works best for you.
There is no requirement to be in our offices a set number of days however we would ask that you attend face to face team meetings and stay in touch with our social purpose which would be about once a month.
What skills, attributes and experience will I need as an Analytics and Insight Specialist?
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Strong Analytical Skills: the ability to dissect composite datasets and identify key data insights using the relevant software.
- Technical Proficiency: use Power Query for data transformations, DAX expressions for calculations and creating impactful data visualisations.
- Data Modelling Mastery: use Power Pivot to model structured data to support efficient analysis and facilitating accurate reporting.
- Continuous Learning: the ever-evolving data analysis landscape requires the willingness to continuously learn and develop, whether that be through formal training or self-led development.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerBI and Excel skills.
- Knowledge and experience of data visualisation techniques.
- Knowledge of MS Fabric would be beneficial.
- Ability to tell stories with data that are engaging.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organisational, time and project management skills.
- Experience of process improvement, such as LEAN Six Sigma.
