IT Software Asset Manager
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an IT Software Asset Manager to join on an initial 12 month basis. You will be part of the Digital Excellence function providing IT Services to the business.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the organisation's software assets, ensuring end-to-end licence compliance, effective software lifecycle management and optimised utilisation across the IT estate.
Role: Windows Engineer
Pay: £65 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: 37 hours per week, 12 months contract
Location: Stevenage - Hybrid
IR35: Inside
SC Clearance: SC required to start - UK Eyes Only due to project
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for management of end-to-end Software license compliance for software on the estate
- Management of SNOW Software License management tool.
- Knowledge and understanding of Software licensing rules, licensing Implications, software metering and methods to optimise utilisation.
- Advise on, design, implement and manage best practices and internal processes of licensing methodology to optimise costs.
- Provide assistance and guidance to the userbase on software license procurement and utilisation
- Software lifecycle management
- Conduct regular and consistent audits across the estate measuring deployment vs entitlement, including the analysis of contractual and financial status, to understand and report on the effective license position.
- Report and verify all software, versions & volumes installed on the estate.
- Maintain the record of Proof of Licenses.
- Maintenance of process and procedural documentation
Requirements:
- Must be elegible to obtain SC Clearance
- Experience managing SNOW Software Asset Management / Software Licence Management tools
- Knowledge and understanding of software licensing rules, licensing implications, software metering and methods to optimise licence utilisation
- Proven experience managing end-to-end software licence compliance across an IT estate
- Experience in software lifecycle management
- Experience conducting software licence audits, including analysing software deployments against licence entitlements and identifying compliance risks
