Software Engineer - C++ / Qt
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer - C++ / Qt for a 12-month contract.
As a Software Engineer, you will join a team developing solutions for the next generation of Air Defence Systems, delivering innovative products with a strong focus on safety, performance and dependability.
Role: Software Engineer - C++ / Qt
Pay: £65 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: Monday- Friday, 37 Hours per week, 12 month contract
Location: Bristol
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: SC to start, UK Eyes only project
Responsibilities
- Develop a new software Console product using modern software architecture.
- Take ownership of the development while working within a wider engineering team.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to testing and automated proving.
- Produce clear technical documentation and ensure software integrates effectively with the wider system.
- Apply software engineering best practice and identify opportunities to improve development processes.
Essential Requirements/Skills/Experience
- Strong software engineering background with experience in C++ and Qt.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a wider team.
- Experience with multi-threaded applications and ideally DDS.
- Knowledge of Ada would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Def Stan 00-55, DO-178C, IEC 61508 or MISRA C++ would be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, verification and maintainability.
