Spares Technical Administrator
On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit someone as a Spares Technical Administrator for 12 months. As the Spares Technical Administrator, you will join the Calibration & Maintenance team, you will produce and review technical reports for the management of spares and look at introducing better working practices on how we control them within SAP.
Role: Spares Technical Administrator
Pay: £22.17 - £24.19 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: Monday- Friday, 37 Hours per week,12-month contract
Location: Stevenage
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS to start however will be required to gain SC clearance.
Requirements
- Manage the full lifecycle of spares and inventory, covering items from COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) equipment through to electronic components, connector savers and service kits.
- Create, maintain and manage calibration and service kits, including their redeployment into stock following completion of maintenance activities.
- Create and maintain material masters within SAP, ensuring accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- Work closely with Engineering teams to establish appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels based on operational requirements.
- Maintain the organisation and accuracy of stock holdings, including conducting regular stock checks and inventory reconciliations.
- Raise and manage purchase orders for new stock, ensuring required spares are available when needed.
- Use Jira to track and communicate the status of spare parts, kits and associated activities to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Control Team Lead in the management and availability of critical spares.
- Liaise with relevant Engineering functions to understand requirements and ensure appropriate spares and materials are available to support production.
- Deploy critical spares packages and coordinate calibration requirements to minimise equipment downtime and disruption to production.
- Provide SAP training and guidance to team members and produce supporting documentation for calibration and maintenance-related Control Team activities.
Skillset & Experince
- Experience and knowledge of managing spares.
- Working knowledge of the SAP (Systems Applications and Products in data processing) enterprise resource planning system.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in creating and managing material masters and min / max levels.
- Whilst not essential, a good understanding of calibration principles and processes would be beneficial.
- The ability to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
