SAP PP Contract Role - 100% Remote - Defence sector
We are currently looking for an experienced SAP Functional PP (Production Planning) Consultant for a contract position supporting a key customer within the Defence sector.

Role Summary:
This role involves working closely with both internal teams and client stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into effective SAP PP configurations.
You will support the implementation and optimisation of SAP ECC and S/4HANA solutions, with a strong focus on core Production Planning processes and integration with wider logistics modules.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record across full project life cycles, from proposal and planning through to implementation and post-go-live support and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business processes and translate user requirements into SAP PP solutions (ECC and S/4HANA).
- Define and document functional requirements and validate proposed solutions with stakeholders.
- Configure the PP module to meet business needs, including planning strategies, MRP, capacity planning, shop floor control, and related master data.
- Support integration with other SAP modules such as MM, QM, SD, and WM.
- Work closely with business users and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve functional issues.
- Deliver essential project documentation including:
o Business Process Blueprints
o Requirements Traceability Matrix
o Configuration Documentation
o Functional Specifications
o Test Scripts
o Training Materials - Lead activities related to data migration within the PP domain (master data, BOMs, routings, work centres, etc.).
- Provide ongoing support for implemented SAP PP solutions and future enhancements.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience as an SAP Functional Consultant specialising in SAP PP (Production Planning).
- Strong understanding of production and manufacturing processes, including MRP, planning strategies, shop floor execution, and capacity planning.
- Experience integrating PP with related SAP modules (MM, QM, SD, WM).
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA implementations, including full project life cycle delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and work effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Prior involvement in data migration activities relevant to the PP area.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
