SAP PP/MM Key user - On site in Reading

Our client (Defence Industry) is looking for SAP PP MM Key User within a highly secure operational environment. The successful candidates will support critical manufacturing, resource planning, procurement and engineering data management activities, working closely with client stakeholders and technical teams.

This role does not require deep SAP functional or technical specialisation. Candidates must, however, demonstrate practical working knowledge of the relevant business processes and system areas, including Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), purchasing and SAP integration with TeamCenter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support SAP-enabled business processes within a secure manufacturing and engineering environment.
• Provide operational and administrative support across Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) activities.
• Assist with procurement and purchasing processes managed through SAP.
• Support business processes relating to engineering and manufacturing workflows.
• Work with stakeholders to identify, investigate and resolve system-related issues and process inefficiencies.
• Assist in coordinating and managing data flows between SAP and associated enterprise systems.
• Support activities relating to SAP integration with TeamCenter.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency activities.
• Produce and maintain documentation, procedures and operational guidance where required.
• Collaborate with business users, engineers, planners, procurement teams and technical support functions.
• Adhere to all security, compliance and operational procedures within a highly regulated defence environment.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP):

• Understanding of manufacturing planning processes.
• Knowledge of material demand planning and scheduling concepts.
• Familiarity with inventory and stock management processes.
• Experience working within production planning environments.

Purchasing and Procurement:

• Knowledge of purchase requisition and purchase order processes.
• Understanding of supplier engagement and procurement workflows.
• Familiarity with material and inventory control principles.
• Working knowledge of SAP purchasing functions.

SAP and Engineering Systems:

• General understanding of SAP-enabled business processes.
• Experience supporting SAP users and business operations.
• Exposure to engineering or manufacturing system environments.
• Awareness of SAP integrations with third-party systems.

TeamCenter Integration:

• Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments.
• Experience working with or supporting TeamCenter-based processes.
• Awareness of SAP-to-TeamCenter integration and data exchange concepts.

• Familiarity with engineering change-control processes.
• Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Knowledge of secure IT and operational delivery environments.

Security and Location Requirements:

• Current MOD Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is mandatory.
• Candidates must be willing and able to work Full time on-site in the Reading, Berkshire area.
• Candidates must comply with all client security, confidentiality and operational policies.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a practical understanding of manufacturing, procurement and engineering processes supported by SAP technologies. While deep SAP specialisation is not required, candidates should be confident working within SAP-enabled environments and engaging with both business and technical stakeholders.
