Technical Data Analyst

You’re a successful Technical Data Analyst ready to join a specialist data and analytics team within a leading UK awarding organisation. In this role, you will work with large scale data applying statistical analysis and data modelling to generate insights that inform key decisions, while also helping to improve processes and ensure consistency across all areas you are working on. You will be responsible for analysing and interpreting complex datasets and supporting statistical modelling for awarding decisions. You will produce clear reports, visualisations and insights that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Alongside this, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of automated data processes, helping to improve efficiency and reliability. You will work closely with internal teams to support policy implementation and continuous improvement, and you will also play a role in monitoring assessment quality and evaluating outcomes over time.

Your experience sits within analysing data and producing reports. You will have strong skills in Python or R, and are proficient in Excel, and be confident in communicating complex insights clearly. It would be beneficial to have experience and familiarity with statistical or psychometric methods. Experience with tools such as SPSS, R, or Rasch or IRT software would also be advantageous.

You will be analytical, detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines without compromising on accuracy. You will communicate effectively, work well both independently and collaboratively, and be comfortable adapting to changing requirements. You will be proactive, curious and open to learning new tools and techniques.
