Business Development Manager

What you'll do

As a Business Development Manager, your role will focus on new business, building relationships with local and regional SMEs, uncovering opportunities, and helping clients improve the way they operate through technology, security and communication solutions.

You will be selling solutions that matter to businesses, with the support of a company that already has an excellent local reputation and strong growth behind it.

You'll also benefit from inbound enquiries to follow up on, giving you the chance to balance proactive prospecting with warm opportunities already coming into the business.

You will work closely with other departments to develop new opportunities, manage the full sales cycle, and convert prospects into loyal customers.

What you will bring

You do not need to tick every possible box to be successful here, but you will need the drive, resilience, and commercial instinct that great new business salespeople are known for.

This role would suit someone who is confident in creating opportunities, comfortable working to targets, and motivated by both autonomy and reward. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in a new business B2B sales role
  • Experience in IT, telecoms, security, or a related sector would be an advantage
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • A genuine hunter mentality and a strong focus on results

Role details

  • Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 (Commission circa £10k - £20k)
  • Company Car or Allowance

  • Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
