Help Strengthen Cyber Resilience for SMEs Across Scotland!
Are you passionate about helping organisations stay secure in an ever-changing digital landscape
Do you enjoy working hands-on with clients, identifying risks, and implementing practical, real-world cyber security improvements
The Role
Logicomms Ltd is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Cyber Security Specialist to support SME customers by delivering high-quality security assessments, guiding them through Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, and implementing best-practice measures aligned with NCSC guidance.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of cyber improvement projects, build strong client relationships, and help businesses become safer, stronger, and more resilient.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Carry out in-depth baseline cyber security assessments for SME clients.
• Recommend practical, cost-effective products and services that close identified security gaps.
• Lead clients through Cyber Essentials certification from start to finish.
• Support clients progressing to Cyber Essentials Plus, ensuring compliance with enhanced security requirements.
• Create, refine, and update tailored cyber security policy documents.
• Conduct annual cyber audits to track progress, maintain compliance, and highlight risks.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to uncover and remediate potential threats.
• Analyse and monitor security logs across a range of platforms, identifying suspicious activity and responding accordingly.
• Assess and manage third-party supplier risks.
• Develop and enhance incident response and disaster recovery plans to ensure businesses can respond effectively to disruptions.
What We’re Looking For
• A degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar (highly advantageous).
• Hands-on experience with Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Proven background in security audits, penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Strong working knowledge of NCSC best practice and how to apply it for SMEs.
• Experience developing security policies, analysing logs and supporting incident response.
• Excellent communication skills — ability to explain complex issues simply and clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple client projects with independence and confidence.
