Compensation: £55-£65k

About LoopFX:
LoopFX is a liquidity network that allows banks and asset managers to match large foreign exchange transactions without information leakage. We are seeking a Data & Operations Analyst with 2+ years of experience working with large data sets, maintaining data pipelines, and turning data into actionable insights.You will own data processes and support the technical operations of the business – from client onboarding to trading support. While experience in financial markets is a plus, we are ultimately looking for someone who can understand our workflow end-to-end, identifying opportunities to improve performance and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analytics & Modelling
o Design and build analytical tools to support business, risk, and compliance functions
o Own end-to-end data flows from ingestion to output
o Provide technical assistance to the sales team in the form of ad-hoc queries, dashboards, reports, or applications
2. Infrastructure & Architecture
o Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-hosted infrastructure and containerized services,
including Kubernetes-based workloads
o Contribute to SDLC best practices, including writing technical specifications, testing, and change
management
3. Trading Operations
o Support daily trading activity and manage incidents in a time-sensitive environment
o Develop methods to streamline identification and response to issues
4. Client Support & Onboarding
o Guide clients through technical onboarding, conformance, account setup, and FIX protocol
connectivity
o Troubleshoot client connectivity or trading issues, working cross-functionally with internal and
external teams
5. Regulatory & Compliance
o Monitor trade reporting obligations and support regulatory inquiries as needed
o Assist in reconciling post-trade workflows and market surveillance functions
Qualifications
Must Have:
• 2+ years of experience in a data or technical role
• Fluent in data types, structures, and pipelines
• Proficiency with Python, SQL
• Ability to work within existing codebases and integrate new languages or tooling where needed
• Docker, GitHub or equivalent tools
• Experience with GCP or equivalent cloud platforms
• Ability to communicate technical details to wide audiences and translate requirements
Nice to Have:
• Familiar with financial markets
• Exposure to client connectivity, FIX API, and FX trading workflows
• Experience with time series databases (e.g. kdb+)
