Structured Products Middle Office Associate Location: London (50% onsite presence) Sector: Corporate & Institutional Banking - Global Markets Operations About the Opportunity Our client, a leading global investment bank with a significant presence across Corporate and Institutional Banking, is looking for a Structured Products Middle Office Associate to join their Product Control function within Global Markets Operations, based in London.This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a high-performing, global team supporting complex Structured Credit, Rates, and broader Fixed Income business lines - including Global Macro IR and FX/LM products. You'll be at the heart of ensuring accurate booking, control, and lifecycle management of a sophisticated derivatives and structured products portfolio. The Role As part of the Structured Products Middle Office (SPMO) team, you will:Take ownership of daily production tasks across the Structured Products Middle OfficeHelp maintain a robust operational control environmentEnsure deals are booked accurately and conform to legal documentation, throughout the transaction lifecycleOwn and resolve breaks arising from reconciliation controls, working to agreed SLAsInvestigate root causes of recurring breaks and drive remediation to strengthen the control environmentReport and refine KPIs/KRIs to management, feeding into wider action plansAct as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including Front Office desksCoordinate across Operations teams to ensure seamless information flowSupport decision-making on complex, high-impact issues requiring specialist analysis What We're Looking For This role requires genuine, hands-on experience in the following areas - candidates without this background are unlikely to be suitable for the position:Reconciliations - proven experience managing and resolving breaks within a controls or middle office environment, with a track record of driving issues to root cause and resolution within SLASPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles) - solid understanding of SPV structures and their operational implications within a banking or asset management contextStructured Products - strong theoretical and practical knowledge of structured products, alongside fixed income, equities, credit, rates, and FXIn addition, you should bring:Material experience within a control function at an investment bankStrong knowledge of front-to-back trade workflows for structured and exotic productsGood understanding of operational risk and permanent control frameworksThe ability to translate technical detail into clear guidance for a range of stakeholdersStrong analytical skills and comfort working under pressure with shifting prioritiesA proactive, problem-solving mindset and the confidence to escalate appropriatelyInterested candidates with demonstrable Reconciliations, SPV, and Structured Products experience are encouraged to apply.Guidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
