Location: Sheffield (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home) | Permanent | Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

Our client is investing in AI to make work smarter, faster, and more effective across the business. They're looking for an AI Solutions Engineer to bridge the gap between technology and business needs - building practical, AI-powered solutions that solve genuine problems and deliver measurable value.

This is not a research role. It's about working directly with teams across the business to understand real challenges, identify opportunities for automation and improvement, and rapidly develop tools, integrations, and applications that make everyday work easier.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that improve efficiency and productivity
• Develop applications, automations, integrations, and AI-assisted tools that solve real business problems
• Work directly with stakeholders to translate requirements into working solutions
• Identify repetitive manual processes and introduce automation opportunities
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows
• Test, measure, and continuously improve solution performance
• Support colleagues in adopting AI tools safely and effectively
• Ensure solutions meet security, governance, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to drive adoption and business value

What We're Looking For

• Experience developing applications, automations, integrations, or software solutions
• Knowledge of AI technologies, large language models, or automation platforms
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, PHP)
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Strong stakeholder communication skills across all levels
• A proactive, hands-on approach focused on delivering value quickly
• A pragmatic approach to technology, security, and problem-solving
