AIOps & Observability Architect - Insurance

AIOps & Observability Architect - Insurance

We are currently recruiting for a Observability Architect with strong IT Operations background / AIOps experience to join one of our Insurance Clients on a 6 month contract.

Please note this role is Inside IR35 and mostly remote with travel to London on adhoc basis

This is a hands-on architecture role, not a governance role and not a pure data-science role. The right candidate designs systems that carry enterprise-scale telemetry.

Experience Required:

  • Strong enterprise IT operations experience
  • Demonstrable experience architecting enterprise observability or monitoring estates - designing telemetry pipelines and platform deployments at scale, not only operating them.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with at least one major platform (e.g. Dynatrace, Datadog, Elastic, Splunk, Azure Monitor/Grafana) including its correlation/AIOps capabilities - and enough breadth to compare platforms honestly rather than defaulting to the familiar one.
  • Strong grasp of telemetry engineering: agent estates, event routing, normalisation, sampling strategies, and the cost mechanics of per-GB versus per-host pricing at enterprise volumes.
  • Working understanding of AIOps - anomaly detection, event correlation, topology-based root cause - sufficient to configure, tune, and critically evaluate them.
  • Fluency across the enterprise stack the telemetry describes: cloud (Azure especially), infrastructure, networking, identity, and application architectures
  • Experience integrating with SIEM and ITSM ecosystems - ideally Microsoft Sentinel and ServiceNow - including CMDB-driven service modelling.
  • Infrastructure-as-code and pipeline automation (Terraform, CI/CD) for platform and onboarding repeatability.
