Change, Training & Communications Lead (Workday Transformation)
Contract: 2 Months Rate: £600 per day IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Location: Remote with occasional hybrid working in Luton and London
Overview We are seeking an experienced Change, Training & Communications Lead to support a major Workday transformation programme. This role will be responsible for leading the people side of change, ensuring successful adoption of new processes and technologies through effective change management, communications and training strategies. The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering organisational change across complex, global HR, Finance and ERP implementations, with particular experience in Workday environments.
Key Responsibilities
Change Management * Lead the development and execution of the programme change strategy. * Conduct change impact assessments and stakeholder analysis across multiple business functions. * Develop organisational readiness plans and monitor adoption risks. * Identify, assess and manage resistance to change. * Establish and manage change champion and stakeholder networks. * Apply recognised change methodologies, including Prosci ADKAR, to drive successful outcomes.
Communications * Develop and deliver comprehensive communication strategies and plans. * Create engaging communications for a variety of audiences, including senior leaders, managers and end users. * Draft executive messaging, leadership briefings and board-level presentations. * Ensure consistent, timely and effective communication throughout the programme lifecycle. * Support programme leadership with key messaging and stakeholder engagement activities.
Training & Adoption * Define and execute the training strategy for affected business groups. * Develop role-based learning approaches and training materials. * Lead Train-the-Trainer programmes and knowledge transfer activities. * Work closely with SMEs and functional leads to ensure training aligns to business processes. * Measure training effectiveness and adoption outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement * Build strong relationships with programme leadership, business stakeholders and delivery teams. * Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions. * Provide expert guidance on change readiness and adoption planning. * Support the transition from project delivery into business-as-usual operations.
Required Experience * 15+ years' experience in Change Management, Training and Communications leadership roles. * Significant experience supporting large-scale Workday implementations, including: o Core HCM o Recruiting o Onboarding o Talent & Performance o Compensation o Time Tracking & Absence o Payroll Integrations o Financials o Procurement o Expenses o Projects o Adaptive Planning o Reporting & Analytics * Demonstrable experience delivering change across global and multi-country programmes. * Strong understanding of organisational change management principles and best practices. * Experience creating executive-level communications and presentations. * Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. * Ability to operate effectively across both strategic and hands-on delivery activities.
Preferred Qualifications * Prosci ADKAR certification or equivalent change management qualification. * Experience within complex global organisations. * Previous consulting or transformation programme experience. * Experience working across both HR and Finance transformation initiatives.
