Data Analyst Contract Length: 6 Months Initially (Extension Possible) Location: Hybrid Working (3 Days a Week Onsite - Maidenhead) IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Umbrella / PAYE Are you a data-driven problem solver with a passion for turning complex information into actionable insights? We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our clients dynamic team and help shape the future of data innovation across our commercial enterprise.About the Role As a Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, specifying, and validating scalable data products that drive critical business thinking.You'll work closely with Data Engineers and Business Analysts to deliver robust, repeatable solutions that support predictive and prescriptive analytics.Key Responsibilities Data Specification & Design Translate business needs into scalable data solutions through detailed requirements gathering.Develop feasibility prototypes and validate data flows before systemisation.Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise high-impact innovations.Data Structures Understand and optimise data structures for use in pipelines, technologies, and business cases.Apply knowledge of machine learning, predictive analytics, and advanced visualisation.Design KPIs and model decision logic for enterprise data processing.Data Governance & Quality Lead data validation and health checks to ensure integrity and reliability.Manage data queries and incidents with a stewardship mindset.Champion documentation and governance best practices.Data Literacy Promote data literacy across the business and encourage better business questioning.Use deep understanding of data workflows to guide scoping conversations.Technical Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in data processing, data solutions, and data technologies.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Comfortable working within complex and demanding Data & Analytics) environments.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, or other relevant programming languages.
- Understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data pipeline design.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing tools.
- Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience or knowledge of Foundry (Palantir) is highly desirable but not essential.
- Attention to detail and genuine curiosity at anomalies.
