We're looking for a Data Scientist with a background in time series forecasting to join a growing, high-impact data team. This is an opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of advanced analytics projects, delivering scalable solutions to complex, real-world business challenges.

The Role

As a Data Scientist, you will:

  • Lead and contribute across the end-to-end data science lifecycle, from problem definition and research through to deployment and optimization.
  • Design, develop and scale time series forecasting models to drive business decision-making
  • Work cross-functionally with Data Engineers, ML Engineers and product teams to deliver production-ready solutions
  • Translate complex data science concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ensure best practices in model performance, explainability, robustness and governance
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging techniques, particularly within forecasting and predictive modelling
  • Mentor team members and help build technical capability across the team

What We're Looking For

Essential experience:

  • Experience in Data Science with a proven track record of solving complex problems
  • Expertise in time series forecasting (e.g. demand forecasting, trend modelling, seasonality analysis)
  • Solid foundation in statistical modelling and machine learning theory
  • Proficiency in Python and experience working with large, complex datasets using SQL and Spark
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across a portfolio of projects
  • Experience engaging both technical and business stakeholders
  • Experience with libraries such as SciPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and modern data stacks (e.g. Databricks, Azure)
  • Knowledge of building and deploying large-scale machine learning systems
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery environments
  • A curious, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering real business impact
