We're looking for a Data Scientist with a background in time series forecasting to join a growing, high-impact data team. This is an opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of advanced analytics projects, delivering scalable solutions to complex, real-world business challenges.
The Role
As a Data Scientist, you will:
- Lead and contribute across the end-to-end data science lifecycle, from problem definition and research through to deployment and optimization.
- Design, develop and scale time series forecasting models to drive business decision-making
- Work cross-functionally with Data Engineers, ML Engineers and product teams to deliver production-ready solutions
- Translate complex data science concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure best practices in model performance, explainability, robustness and governance
- Stay at the forefront of emerging techniques, particularly within forecasting and predictive modelling
- Mentor team members and help build technical capability across the team
What We're Looking For
Essential experience:
- Experience in Data Science with a proven track record of solving complex problems
- Expertise in time series forecasting (e.g. demand forecasting, trend modelling, seasonality analysis)
- Solid foundation in statistical modelling and machine learning theory
- Proficiency in Python and experience working with large, complex datasets using SQL and Spark
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across a portfolio of projects
- Experience engaging both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience with libraries such as SciPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras
- Experience working with cloud platforms and modern data stacks (e.g. Databricks, Azure)
- Knowledge of building and deploying large-scale machine learning systems
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments
- A curious, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering real business impact
