Head of IT

Salary: £125k base benefits and bonus on top

Location: London - Hybrid working

The Role: We are seeking a dynamic Head of IT to lead the UK energy retail IT estate. With a background as a delivery Manager, Delivery Lead of Programme Manager with Retail Energy you will drive technology strategy, deliver projects, and ensure robust application support (including Salesforce) for the B2C energy business. You'll act as a key business partner to senior commercial and operational leaders, aligning IT delivery with business goals and fostering strong relationships across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of IT professionals, building a high-performance culture.
• Shape and deliver the technology-enabled change portfolio for UK Retail IT, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Manage IT demand and act as principal manager for technology change, working closely with business and architecture teams.
• Oversee Salesforce application support and ensure performance against SLAs.
• Act as the domain expert for energy retail technology, keeping abreast of industry trends and innovations.
• Build strong partnerships with business leaders to translate needs into effective IT solutions.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years delivering technology initiatives in large, multi-business unit organisations.
• Direct experience in energy retail IT, including sales, customer operations, and back-office processes.
• Background as Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager or Programme Manager within Retail Energy
• Background in CRM (ideally Salesforce), customer contract management, regulatory change, and billing.
• Proven leadership of IT teams (4+ people), with experience in performance management and team development.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and commercial acumen.
