Role: Head of Pricing Transformation

Location: London - 3 x days per week onsite

Duration: 6 Months

We are seeking an experienced Head of Pricing Transformation to lead a major change programme focused on simplifying, modernising, and strengthening pricing systems, processes, and supporting technology.

This is a senior, hands‐on leadership role responsible for delivering a large‐scale pricing transformation roadmap within a UK general insurance environment. You will play a critical part in building a scalable, efficient and future‐proof pricing capability, working at the intersection of Pricing, IT, Data, and Change.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded pricing leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys delivering tangible, enterprise‐wide change.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the simplification and consolidation of the pricing estate, including rating engines, pricing tools and data flows
  • Own the upgrade or replacement of pricing platforms (e.g. rating engines, model deployment tools, pricing UIs)
  • Ensure pricing technology aligns with enterprise IT architecture, data strategy and security standards
  • Act as the senior bridge between Pricing, IT, Data and Change teams
  • Engage with senior leaders across Underwriting, Product, Finance and Distribution to drive buy‐in and adoption
  • Provide clear governance, reporting and assurance to executive forums and steering committees

Essential Experience

  • Proven leadership of large‐scale pricing transformation programmes within UK general insurance
  • Deep understanding of pricing systems and tooling, including: Rating engines and model deployment platforms and Pricing UIs and modelling environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of pricing methodologies, data flows and model governance
  • Experience working closely with IT architecture and data teams on system design and integration
  • Confident operator in complex, multi‐stakeholder environments with senior visibility

Tools & Technology

  • Hands‐on knowledge of pricing tools such as Radar, Radar Optimiser, Emblem, and analytics languages including R and Python

Regulatory & Commercial Awareness

  • Strong grasp of Consumer Duty, pricing fairness and FCA regulation
  • Proven experience working in regulated, consumer‐facing organisations
  • Ability to balance commercial outcomes with robust risk management and controls
