Overview Our client is seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to lead the delivery of IT Asset Management (ITAM) across the organisation. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT assets-software, hardware, and associated agreements-ensuring alignment with governance, compliance, and cost optimisation objectives. You will oversee the ITAM team and collaborate with internal departments and third-party service providers to implement and evolve ITAM processes, systems, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ITAM strategy, guardrails, and processes aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 19770-1).
• Lead and manage the ITAM team and assess third-party service provider performance.
• Maintain accurate inventories of hardware and software assets.
• Govern ITAM through forums, risk escalation, and compliance tracking.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across procurement, finance, security, operations, and architecture.
• Drive continuous improvement of ITAM services and adapt to emerging technologies.
• Manage ITAM-related risks and support resolution of major incidents.
• Generate reports and insights on asset utilisation, costs, and risks.
• Conduct audits and ensure compliance with ITAM policies.
• Support financial forecasting, cost management, and vendor negotiations.
• Deliver training and awareness initiatives for ITAM processes.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• IT Asset Management experience.
• Team leadership and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of ISO:19770-1 and ITAM best practices.
• Experience with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Snow, Flexera).
• In-depth understanding of software licensing and compliance.
• Experience with CMDBs and hardware asset management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, vendor negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage ITAM programs and drive improvements.
