Infrastructure Automation Engineer - Fortinet & Aruba

• Infrastructure Automation Engineer - Fortinet and Aruba Experience
• London - onsite 1/2 days a week
• 6 month contract however the programme is 7 years long!
• Inside of IR35
• £600 max daily rate

Our client is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to assist on their large infrastructure upgrade. You will have extensive experience conducting similar migrations which include Cisco to Aruba upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible and GitHub.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of network infrastructure (eg, Firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, SD-WAN).
• Collaborate with the Network Architecture and DevOps team to automate self-service infrastructure configuration.
• Integrate infrastructure automation into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment.
• Development of reusable patterns, modules, templates and playbooks that ensure consistency, auditability, and rapid service enablement.
• Monitor infrastructure/cyber and automate remediation workflows.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies through automated controls.
• Document infrastructure designs, automation workflows, and operational procedures.

Experience

• Working on large scale Network transformation programmes.
• Technical lead of infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automation, deployment, configuration, management and scaling.
• Managing delivery alongside external partners and managing senior stakeholders.
• Building automated pipelines and orchestration frameworks for hybrid environments (on-premises, private/public cloud) including automated testing.
• Expert in industry-standard software and project methodologies and tooling (eg, SAFe (Agile), Jira, Confluence).
• Expert in Network systems particularly Aruba technology stack.
• Solid understanding of Application delivery control.

Essential Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

• Network infrastructure automation using DevOps practices.

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Aruba
• Network Secuirty - Fortinet
• Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools
• CI/CD tools (eg, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Scripting - Python
