Junior Python Developer (FinTech, FX Trading) - London Hybrid
Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Bank, London - 3 days on-site (Tue/Wed/Thu) + 2 days WFH
Salary: £40,000 + training & benefits
About:
A startup fintech building a next-generation FX trading & settlement platform-connecting onboarding, dealing, risk, settlement, reporting, and client portals into one system. This is an awesome opportunity to help build an FX Trading platform from the ground up.
The Opportunity:
You'll create, build and deploy using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) while working across the full stack. Expect extensive training and hands-on exposure to Azure and Salesforce, plus mentorship from experienced engineers.
What you'll do:
- Develop and optimise platform components in Python
- Write and tune SQL Server queries, views & stored procedures
- Build REST APIs for internal/external integrations
- Learn and contribute to event-driven pipelines (eg, Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Apply IaC and contribute to CI/CD releases
- Collaborate with Product, Operations & Compliance on mission-critical features
What you'll bring:
- 1-2 years' commercial experience with Python and SQL (or strong projects/internships)
- Understanding of APIs, data modelling and secure access controls
- Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and clear communication
- Nice to have: Kafka or message queues, Azure, Salesforce (Apex/Flows), Docker, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions
- GitHub/portfolio link welcome (not mandatory)
