Lead Business Analyst

Role Overview:

Our L+P client are seeking a highly experienced Lead Business Analyst to join our Edinburgh based team for a 6 months initial contract to drive HR transformation initiatives within a dynamic financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle HCM, a strong understanding of HR processes, and a proven track record of delivering complex transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business analysis activities across HR transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to Oracle HCM modules (Core HR, Talent Management, Payroll, etc.).
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and support solution design.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions with HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with implementation partners and technical teams to ensure Oracle HCM solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support change management and training activities to ensure successful adoption of new HR systems and processes.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior analysts within the team.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst
  • Scotland based
  • Proven experience working on HR transformation projects within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud - including configuration, workflows, and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with data migration, integration, and testing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
