The Role

As a Principal Angular Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of highly complex solutions, acting as a technical authority within the engineering team. You'll challenge the status quo, champion best practice, and help define the future direction of front-end development.

Working closely with architects, product teams, and senior engineering stakeholders, you'll lead technical decision-making, improve system quality, and drive the adoption of modern engineering standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure security, performance, and reliability are embedded within all solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural governance, standards, and engineering strategy.

About You

You'll be a highly experienced frontend engineer with deep Angular expertise and a passion for building robust, scalable applications.

Essential Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Angular and modern frontend architecture.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Deep understanding of Angular design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Angular CLI, Nx, Webpack and associated tooling.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous and parallel programming.
  • Ability to make architectural decisions across complex systems.
  • Experience driving engineering standards and technical best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with React or Vue.
  • Java development experience.
  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Previous experience operating at Lead, Principal, Staff or Architect level.

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to influence the technical direction of a large-scale platform.
  • Work alongside senior engineering leaders and architects.
  • Drive meaningful modernisation and transformation initiatives.
  • Hybrid working environment.
  • Strong focus on engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

If you're an Angular specialist looking for a role where you can combine hands-on development, architecture, and technical leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
