Product Owner - e-commerce/retail experience

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Product Owner to join a well-known aeronautical company. This role requires a well-rounded Product Owner who can balance customer‐centric front‐end experiences with robust back‐end delivery, while providing strong leadership within an agile framework.

You will sit within a sizeable delivery squad, working closely with a Scrum Lead, internal technology teams, and a third‐party development partner. The focus is on delivering high‐velocity, high‐impact change across retail and mobile platforms, with a strong emphasis on customer experience, compliance, and revenue optimisation.

Main responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment to strategic goals and customer outcomes
  • Act as the voice of the customer, embedding usability, accessibility and CX principles into delivery
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning and prioritisation within 3‐week sprint cycles, delivering at high velocity
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, UX, analytics and a third‐party supplier to deliver end‐to‐end solutions
  • Translate insights from A/B testing, analytics and usability testing into actionable backlog items
  • Balance delivery of new features, optimisation, and regulatory/compliance requirements
  • Support agile ceremonies and ways of working, demonstrating clear Scrum leadership rather than feature‐only ownership
  • Oversee release of functionality into live environments and track value delivered
  • Contribute to roadmap communication and stakeholder engagement across a broad digital landscape

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Product Owner, owning products from discovery to live delivery
  • Demonstrated experience delivering both front‐end customer journeys and back‐end capabilities
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum, with confidence leading backlog and team interactions
  • Proven use of data and experimentation (A/B testing, analytics, usability testing) to inform decisions
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Benefits

  • Salary between £60,000 - £70,000 + up to 20% bonus
  • Hybrid – 3 days a week in the office
  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • Generous pension scheme – up to 12% pension contribution
  • Life Assurance at 3x basic salary
