Role summary

We are looking for a strategic, business-focused Business Analyst to take complex programme information and turn it into clear, actionable insight and executive-ready outputs. This is an independent role for a self-starter who can work with minimal direction, build their own understanding of a programme, and shape what they find into a compelling narrative for senior audiences.

This is not a technical, systems or IT Business Analyst position.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse programme information from multiple sources and synthesise it into clear, concise insight
  • Identify key themes, risks, dependencies and opportunities, and articulate what they mean for the business
  • Develop presentations, briefing packs and executive-level materials that communicate complexity simply
  • Prepare senior stakeholders with accurate, well-structured briefings to support decision-making
  • Work proactively with programme teams and stakeholders to gather information, test assumptions and validate findings
  • Take ownership of your own workload, priorities and deliverables with a high degree of self-sufficiency
  • Use data and analysis where available to support recommendations and strengthen insight

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven experience as a strategic or business-focused Business Analyst, or in a comparable analysis or insight role
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to generate insight rather than simply report information
  • Excellent synthesis skills: distilling large volumes of complex information into key messages
  • Demonstrable experience producing presentations, briefing packs and executive-level content
  • Confident written and verbal communication, including with senior stakeholders
  • Self-starting and proactive, comfortable operating independently and managing ambiguity
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail

Desirable

  • A data or analytics background (advantageous, but not essential)
  • Experience supporting large programmes or transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with executive reporting and governance environments
