About the Role

A leading Financial Services organisation is seeking an experienced SailPoint Engineer to support identity governance and automation across a complex, multi-tenant environment. You'll lead the design, configuration, integration and deployment of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, supporting both enterprise and hybrid setups.

This is a senior hands-on engineering role where you will act as a subject matter expert, guiding technical standards, mentoring delivery teams, and ensuring a secure, scalable and compliant identity posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design, configuration and deployment of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud across enterprise environments.
  • Integrate SailPoint with key platforms including HR systems, Active Directory, Entra ID, AWS, ServiceNow, and other authoritative sources.
  • Own application onboarding using JML automation, including JDBC, delimited files, SCIM, REST, SOAP and custom connectors.
  • Implement identity governance for non-employees, privileged users and machine identities.
  • Support tenant migrations, HR consolidations and alignment of policies and connectors across environments.
  • Mentor engineers on connector development, workflow automation and life cycle configuration.
  • Build and maintain automation using BeanShell, PowerShell, Java, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec, DevSecOps and Compliance teams to strengthen governance, auditing and least-privilege controls.
  • Develop and optimise access certifications, risk-based access controls and automated onboarding/offboarding processes.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale deployments of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.
  • Strong integration expertise across Active Directory, Entra ID, AWS and ServiceNow.
  • Advanced Scripting capability: BeanShell, PowerShell, Java, API integrations.
  • Deep understanding of identity life cycle management, Zero Trust principles and IGA governance.
  • Experience delivering complex IGA programmes in a regulated environment (financial services preferred).
  • Strong understanding of JML workflows and automation.

Desirable:

  • Agile delivery experience.
  • Certifications such as SailPoint ISC Engineer, CISSP, CISM.
  • Experience with collaboration tooling (MS Teams/Zoom).
  • Exposure to Identity AI for risk-based access and anomaly detection.
