Job Title: Senior Data Scientist / Product (Amplitude / Mixpanel) – Insurance & Analytics
Location: Remote (UK) with occasional travel to London
Contract: 6 months (via Umbrella)
📌 Job Summary
We are seeking strong experience in product analytics, machine learning, and behavioural data modelling.
The role sits within a high-impact analytics function supporting insurance, pensions, and employee benefits domains.
You will work closely with product and business teams to deliver actionable insights using tools such as Amplitude and/or Mixpanel , along with advanced statistical modelling and predictive analytics.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning and predictive models to support business decision-making
- Analyse large-scale behavioural and product datasets using SQL and Python/R
- Work with product analytics tools such as Amplitude and/or Mixpanel
- Develop dashboards and insights using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Collaborate with stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams
- Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights
🧩 Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Data Science, Analytics, or similar roles
- Advanced SQL skills with large and complex datasets
- Proficiency in Python or R
- Hands-on experience with Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar product analytics tools
- Strong understanding of machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling
- Experience in insurance, fintech, pensions, or financial services preferred
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience in consulting or client-facing analytics roles
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise data environments
- Knowledge of experimentation / A/B testing frameworks
