Senior .Net Developer

Investment Banking - Inside IR35 - 12 MONTHS CONTRACT Core accountabilities of role Ø Develop and deliver (time & quality) stories and epics covering the .Net web server and .Net services. Ø Contribute to the reengineering and maintenance of functional and core components. Ø Build functional and technical knowledge of the application. Ø Become SME of Issuemaster architecture and capabilities. Ø Provide L3 support when needed. Ø Contribute to the reengineering of the core components when and where required. Ø Review design and implementation of the existing for continuous improvements. Ø Proactively identify issues and propose solutions. Ø Actively participate to the Agile calls and team meetings. Ø Help improve DevOps capabilities to simplify and automate build Ø Create and keep Jira tasks up to date in line with the team's development process. Ø Understand application and projects roadmaps and contribute to their successful delivery. Ø Contribute to the maintenance and enrichment of the confluence pages. Ø Provide technical analysis when needed and formalise/document to help other developers Knowledge, Skill and Experience Ø Strong practical knowledge of applying SOLID principles and design patterns. Ø At least 5 years .Net C# and Oracle SQL development experience. Ø Excellent understanding of core programming principles, best practices and design patterns. Ø Excellent understanding of database transactions, their boundaries and isolation levels Ø Experience in building real-time web applications ideally using SignalR Ø Experience of in-memory replicated and distributed caching with scalability in mind Ø Commercial experience of web applications and very good understanding of the threading, context and session models. Ø Very good analytical skills; able to understand, formalise and explain complex problems in meaningful terms. Ø Knowledge and ideally commercial experience of one or more ORM frameworks. Ø Proficient in writing complex SQL, profiling and optimizing queries. Ø Excellent understanding of distributed version control system (Git, BitBucket). Ø Knowledge of profiling and performance tuning the application. Ø Experience upgrading .Net framework to .Net core a strong plus. Ø Strong understanding of cyber security considerations when setting up and developing web servers. Ø Web front-end development experience a plus. Ø Result and quality driven; able to meet own targets under general guidance. Ø Comfortable working in an Agile environment; keeping Jira tasks up to date and planning work to fit weekly sprints. Ø Good communication skills, both orally and in writing. Comfortable interacting with front office users. Ø Confident numeracy and solid academic background in engineering, sciences, or economics. Ø Proactive team player with a problem solver and can-do mindset
