Senior Product Designer

Senior Product Designer 4-month initial contract (scope to extend) Remote / Hybrid - London Southbank Inside IR35

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer, to help shape a brand-new product.

As a Senior Product Designer within the Pharmacy Experience you will contribute to our mission of driving incremental sales through the Pharmacy channel.

You will design prototypes for testing and create launchready screens for an MVP of our online commerce and education platform. Your work will focus on building efficient, engaging experiences that help our sales reps have meaningful interactions with healthcare professionals.

This role calls for a self-starter who is passionate about creating motivating user experiences while staying mindful of feasibility. You'll work at pace to unlock value quickly, enabling the business to launch and learn faster. You will define and deliver solutions to usercentred problems that align with our technology and business goals. Your work is essential to helping us validate our experience strategy and build excitement and momentum across teams.

Your responsibilities will include producing wireframes, prototypes, and Figma designs, bringing clarity to ambiguity, and helping shape a scalable experience that supports future expansion.

What the Senior Product Designer will be responsible for:

  • Work autonomously, representing Design within Pharmacy Experience alongside the Design Lead.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and company leaders to take our product from concept to launch.
  • Develop and test prototypes to increase our level of confidence in our proposed solution's ability to solve user pain points.
  • Deliver detailed wireframes, user flows, functional specification documentation and other artifacts to agile development teams and refine as needed during project sprints, working within a Design System.
  • Understand our customers and sales reps by leveraging qualitative and quantitative data and serve as their advocate when making design decisions.
  • Champion the user's perspective by running generative and evaluative user research studies in coordination with Design Leads.
  • Demonstrate a bias to action to gather evidence to support key investment decisions.
  • Participate in regular design reviews to provide constructive feedback and maintain design quality and consistency.
  • Serve as a mentor, sharing your expertise and fostering the development of design acumen within the team.

Essential Skills & Experience for the Senior Product Designer

  • Research: Test assumptions and incorporate insights into design decisions to fulfil user and business needs.
  • Experience commerce, B2B, B2C, Retail, Education experience is highly desirable.
  • Deliverables: Create deliverables for the group(s) you support (for example: JTBD, competitive evaluations, user flows, low fidelity wireframes, high fidelity mock-ups, prototypes, and so on) that solve real user problems through the user experience.
  • Communication: Communicate the results of design activities within your product area to the design department, cross-functional partners within your product area, and other interested stakeholders using clear language that simplifies complexity.
  • Design system: Experience creating and maintaining component library and making decisions to ensure best practices are being followed.
  • Design reviews: Participate in Design Reviews, giving and receiving feedback in an appropriate way.
  • Business Acumen: A solid grasp of the commercial environment in which their company operates. This includes knowledge of their company's business model, revenue streams, and financial goals. Connecting design decisions to tangible business outcomes and ROI is critical to drive continued momentum of design.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Influence stakeholders to make decisions centered on the end user, backed by evidence through research and testing.
  • Agile development process: Experience collaborating with developers to bring designs to life focusing on scalability and feasibility.
  • Service Design: Visualize and construct comprehensive service blueprints that detail the relationships between different service components, including customer interactions, back-end processes, and touchpoints across the customer journey
