Exciting opportunity for an experienced senior developer to build on their experience in a trading company in this successful Commodities Trading company.

The role is a combination of technical leadership, hands on development (.NET C#), and mentoring and some line management of 2 less experienced team members. This varied role therefore suits someone who enjoys interacting with different parts of an organisation and taking a lead on decision making.

Package: £140-175k p.a.

The Senior Software Engineer will have significant prior experience as a Senior Software Engineer / Senior Developer working as C# Developer in a trading type environment where they will have gained knowledge of the full trade life-cycle and feel comfortable speaking directly to traders and senior stakeholders in the business as well as senior technical colleagues such as architects.

There will be a variety of challenging and exciting new projects for the Senior Software Engineer to work on as the company continues to expand into new product areas including renewable energy trading and asset optimisation.

Prior experience in a ltechnical leadership position is ideal, but C# Developers with excellent experience and aptitude to step up into a leadership role will also be considered.

The company is in the process of moving to the cloud, so Azure Platform experience would be helpful.

Core skills in C# and SQL Server are expected

Good knowledge of front-to-back trade life-cycle
