Lorien's client are currently recruiting for a Service Enablement Manager to join on a 6 month initial contract, inside IR35.
The Service Enablement Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the full transition of services delivered by the Enterprise Portfolio to the business operational teams. The role will involve the formal management of the entire transition process for each service using industry accepted best practice techniques.
Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the smooth transition of new, changed and enhanced services up to critical level into BAU support as part of a large-scale, improvement programme.
- Strong stakeholder / supplier management skills with the ability to liaise with business owners, project managers, design teams, operation teams, IT partners and suppliers to ensure that transition of services and all associated documentation is delivered to a very high standard.
- Produce comprehensive service designs and end-to-end support models for all new services ensuring that they are reviewed and updated in line with any changed or enhanced services.
- Act as a quality gate between project delivery and Service Operations in a multi-disciplined environment - to ensure that projects are not passed to BAU support, until the service can be fully supported, minimising operational risk and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate Service Transition framework reviews and conduct operational and service readiness reviews
- Must have proven expertise in implementing Service Transition frameworks and producing high quality designs and documentation
- Create transition plans and conduct quality reviews, prior to release and deployment to support the transition of the service into operation and ensure that all knowledge is available to support the defined operational policies and processes.
- Co-ordinate and conduct hypercare approach and reports with checkpoint reviews throughout the transition lifecycle into BAU.
- Storing transition material on the SharePoint repository and organising service operations team access.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Effective and experienced Service Enablement Manager
- Experience in leading Infrastructure Managed Services Transitions
- Development of Service Transition collateral
- Can demonstrate effective Service Transition writing skills
- Proven track record of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Able to demonstrate high level of attention to detail and look for process solutions and process improvement
Desirable skills
- ISEB/Prince 2 project management / ITIL Service Management accreditations advantageous
- Experience of delivering managed services comprising multiple vendors / service providers
- Exposure to infrastructure and transition models for delivering Cloud based Managed Services

- Prepare the way for the project to deliver global rollouts by raising change requests and clearing any obstacles and/or sign offs to enable smooth delivery of the technology across the estate.
- Support, evolve and consistently contribute to maintaining high-quality ways of working and outputs for the Enterprise Portfolio.
