Vulnerability Management Specialist

My client, a successful well-known international bank is looking for a Vulnerability Management Specialist to lead the assessment and remediation of security vulnerabilities within infrastructure. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, providing governance, and ensuring timely remediation to reduce risk exposure.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in IT operations, system administration, or infrastructure management, combined with excellent security awareness and a proactive approach to risk management.

The team have 2 positions, one Full time permanent position and one 12 months FTC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review vulnerability reports and validate findings against the environment.
  • Assess potential impact of vulnerabilities on business systems and services.
  • Collaborate with global and local teams to drive patch management and remediation.
  • Provide evidence and reports for audit and compliance reviews.
  • Communicate remediation status, risks, and challenges to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for infrastructure vulnerability issues.
  • Serve as liaison between security teams and IT teams for implementing fixes.

Skills and Experience Required to be Successful

  • Strong understanding of the vulnerability management lifecycle, focusing on remediation and closure.
  • Experience with infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and end-user technology.
  • Familiarity with scanning tools, agents, and CMDB integrations.
  • Proficiency with ITSM and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Security awareness in remediation and hardening (Desirable)
  • Ability to act as technical point of contact for vulnerability issues. (Desirable)
